The countdown begins...

... Or so we say. Since the birth date could be any time in the next month it's like counting to infinity. Unless you're having a c-section or you're Chuck Norris.
Wife's contractions have started picking up. They're real contractions but only in preparation for the big day. Experts say the Braxton-Hicks contractions are a way for the body to train itself for birth. That's a pretty cool thing for a body to do.
In other news I've packed up wife's hospital bag with some essentials. Of course I packed too much so some of it will come back out. It'll probably go into a backup bag with my things.
We now have two car seats! No we're not having twins but our good friend Vu is lending us his son's seat. Big boy Nathan has already outgrown his bucket. It doesn't fit our stroller and there's no adapter for it so we'll have to switch her into the bassinet or just carry. I suspect the bassinet will be much more comfortable on longer outings.
The nursery has been cleared up! There's no decoration or furniture yet except for a bed and cabinet. We've been looking at some floor mats and toys so we'll have more things soon.
